Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I register?
Up to the day of the ride, you can register on-line. The day of the ride, you can register in person, but some goodie bag items are available only to the first riders to register.
What should I bring besides myself and my bike?
You will need a helmet, and it’s not a bad idea to bring a water bottle and repair kit (including tire pump or CO2 cartridges) in case you get a flat. You can also bring munchies if you think you'll need them, although there will be fresh fruit on the course at the SAG stops during the ride. If you are under 18, you will need to bring a parent or guardian to co-sign the waiver.
What time is the ride?
Check in starts at 7:30 AM, Saturday, October 19th — the ride starts at 8:00 AM.
Can I do this ride on a mountain bike?
Yes. There is nothing specific about this ride that prevents you from using a mountain bike, although if you have really knobby tires it might not be as pleasant riding on pavement as it is off-road. Therefore, if you're comfortable riding on pavement with your mountain bike, you should be fine on our ride.
Can I do this ride on a fixie?
Yes, and more power to you. Although our courses are fairly flat, the two longer rides do have some climbs. Obviously, you can always walk up the climbs. However you decide to do it, you're welcome to join us.
Do I need special clothes or some kind of outfit to participate in your ride?
Within the bounds of decency, come as you are!
How old must I be to ride in your event?
As long as you are comfortable riding your bike, there is no specific lower age limit. However, riders under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to co-sign the waiver.
When do I get my goodie bag?
Whether you register on-line or in person on the day of the ride, you pick up your goodie bag, T-shirt (if applicable), course map, and other materials as you check in on the morning of the ride.
What kind of merchandise will you have for sale?
We offer T-shirts and bottled water, although there will be water available out on the course at the SAG stops during the ride.
